The efforts of our dedicated team of editors, administrators, and our wonderful contributors has been essential to the development of Better Mental Health, and we are sincerely appreciative of everyone who has contributed their time and skills along the way.
I’m the founding editor of Better Mental Health Magazine. My background spans IT, business, consulting and media, and since launching BMH I’ve gone on to study psychology, philosophy and therapeutic practice — all shaped by a lifetime of lived experience with the brain’s dopamine–amygdala rollercoaster.
Ruth Myers is a professional counsellor in Sydney's Blue Mountains. She has worked in a range of roles involving family support, mental health, trauma, early childhood and disaster recovery. She believes in identifying a person’s strengths and assists in creating personal change through the use of their own strengths and hopes.
These are some of the people who have generously shared their personal experiences, expertise, and time, to help improve mental health in a way that has been sincere, approachable, and relevant. We’re especially appreciative those who have contributed since Better Mental Health began, in the days when mental health was taboo, and sharing intimate aspects of their life was often as difficult as it was important. These people have genuinely impacted the lives of people they may never know, people who contact us and say thank you.
A great big Thank you! to all our wonderful contributors.
If you would like to contribute to Better Mental Health, please take a look at the contribute page. We’d love to hear from you!
